Wayward Sea Lion Recovering

A sea lion found more than 60 miles from the ocean in the San Joaquin Valley is said to be doing fine as it recovers from an infection caused by a gunshot wound. Officials say the sea lion, nicknamed “CHiPpy,” will remain hospitalized for up to a month before officials determine whether he is healthy enough to be returned to the ocean.
