Double Murder Suspect Treated At TGH

Sponsored by:

Accused double-murder suspect Peter Jordan Chiesa was brought to Tuolumne General Hospital yesterday… apparently after complaining of chest pains while on his way to trial in Calaveras County.

A hospital spokeswoman said yesterday afternoon Chiesa was listed in fair condition…

The 65 year-old Chiesa is accused in the June 2002 shooting deaths of his two neighbors — 43 year-old Leslie Hannameyer and 41 year-old Annette Truman while the two women cleaned up tree-trimming debris from a common driveway shared by the three families near Wallace.

According to the Stockton Record this morning Chiesa´s attorney, Clyde Blackmon of Sacramento told reporters after Thursday´s court appearance that he wasn´t sure if Chiesa had suffered a heart attack.

He said he had not yet had a chance to speak to doctors treating Chiesa to find the exact nature of his medical situation.
