Farm Group Seeks Worker Reform
A delegation from California is in Washington, D.C., this week, seeking more support for a bipartisan bill to reform an agricultural guestworker program. Known as the “AgJobs” bill, the measure would help farmers find a reliable supply of workers. It would also allow qualified farmworkers a chance to earn permanent, legal residency. A group from the California Farm Bureau will speak in favor of the bill with members of Congress and the administration.
