Man Dies of Injuries After DUI Motorcycle Wreck

A Valley Springs man who was severely injured after a DUI motorcycle wreck has died.

The California Highway Patrol says 36-year-old Paul Cavagnaro allowed his 2003 Harley Davidson to drift off the roadway while negotiating a curve on Quail Oaks Road in Valley Springs, back on Saturday, March 20th.

The motorcycle flipped over and ejected Cavagnaro and his passenger, 45-year-old Lisa Copeland.

Reports say Cavagnaro displayed symptoms of alcohol intoxication after the accident, and he was airlifted to Doctors Hospital in Modesto for treatment of his major injuries.

He was pronounced dead Friday morning.

Lisa Copeland suffered only minor injuries, and was treated and released from Mark Twain Hospital in San Andreas.
