City Council To Discuss Leash Law, Big Box Ordinance
A Big Box ordinance for the City of Sonora could follow in the footsteps of the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors.
A special meeting of the Sonora City Council takes place this afternoon, where a meeting date for the City´s Planning Commission will be set to consider the Big Box issue.
Also, the issue of dogs at Woods Creek Rotary Park will be discussed. A citizen who was ticketed claims posted signs are confusing and contradictory, since one sign reads “Dogs not allowed on ball field” and an adjacent sign reads “Leash law strictly enforced”.
Committee appointments will also be considered, and details of the upcoming sales tax special election will be worked out.
Tonight´s city council meeting is at 4pm, and happens at Sonora City Hall.
The regular city council meeting for Monday, April 5th, has been cancelled.
