Residents Take Flight Over Angels Camp Saturday

Sponsored by:

Air Fair 2004 will provide a day of fun for all family members Saturday.

“It´s mostly to show local people what goes on at the airport. We have nonprofit organizations that come out and do breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and do the car parking. There´s no cost for people to come out here,” said airport manager Kathy Zancanella.

“Fifteen minute airplane rides over Angels Camp, a silent auction and a raffle for a B-17 and a Hummer ride, police cars, fire trucks and helicopters to crawl around, kids games, static airplane, pancake breakfast and tri-tip lunch—it´s going to be a fun-filled day,” said Karen Davids, AIR FAIR Co-Founder and Organizer.

Breakfast and ticket sales will begin at 7am, all other vendors will start at 8am, and activities will continue into the late afternoon.

A ticket buys a time slot for a ride in one of many aircraft locally owned and operated.

The event is free.
