Almond Recall Expands
The almond recall is growing.
Fort Fudge Shop has joined eleven other Michigan companies in a voluntary recall of its raw whole or diced almonds because of possible salmonella contamination.
The almonds would be packaged in Vanilla Nut Fudge purchased between August 2003 and June second, 2004.
The recalled almonds, which can be returned for a full refund, are packed in six-ounce packages under the Fort Fudge Shop label.
The almonds were purchased from Paramount Farms of California, which is recalling 13 million pounds of almonds after more than two dozen cases of salmonella were reported in eleven states.
