More Witness Testimony In Peterson Trial
Prosecutors will call their second witness today in the double-murder trial of Scott Peterson — but it´s not known who that witness will be.
Yesterday, defense attorney Mark Geragos dropped a bit of a bombshell when he promised to provide evidence that would show Scott and Laci Peterson´s son was born alive.
He also told the jury that three witnesses reported seeing a van parked in front of the Peterson´s house the day Laci Peterson disappeared.
The opening statements by Geragos provided the first glimpse into what is expected to be a strategy to clear Peterson by suggesting that somebody else was the killer.
Today, the jury is expected to hear a full day of testimony. The 31-year-old Peterson could be sentenced to death or life without parole if convicted of the two murders.
