Calaveras School Board Appoints President
Angels Camp, CA — Steven Looper has been chosen once again to serve as the president of the Calaveras County Board of Education.
The board manages the Calaveras County Office of Education. Looper represents the communities of Wallace, Burson, Campo Seco, Paloma, Mokelumne Hill, and San Andreas.
The board met Monday to select its president and vice president and set the calendar for 2006. Looper was elected to the board in 1994 and is serving his third term.
Selected as vice president was Patrick Stephens representing Altaville, Angels Camp, Vallecito, Douglas Flat, and Murphys. Stephens has been on the board since 1985.
The County Board of Education meets at 4:30 p.m. on the last Monday of every month.
