Sonora, CA — Visitors to the Sonora Department of Motor Vehicle office won´t have to wait as long to take care of business this holiday season.
DMV spokesman Mike Miller says the revolutionary queuing system that shortened lines and wait times for thousands of customers statewide, will expand to 42 more field offices including Sonora, now through the end of January.
Miller says with the highly sophisticated, computerized line-management DMV-Q system in place, people can get a ticket with a number on it, and sit down until they are automatically routed to the right window to complete their transaction. By February Miller says 134 field offices will be offering the new service.
