Sonora, CA — Five Santa Paula residents are facing charges in connection with the recovery of a stolen vehicle yesterday.
Police say a Community Service Officer observed a late model Dodge pickup stopped and blocking traffic on Stewart Street shortly after 2:00 in the afternoon.
The officer saw two of the truck´s five occupants leave the vehicle and run across the street. A records check indicated that the truck was stolen out of Santa Paula.
Police officers followed the vehicle to the intersection of Washington Street and Columbia Way where they conducted a traffic stop and took one male and two females into custody. The other two suspects were apprehended in town at about the same time.
Three were booked into the Tuolumne County Jail, the other two were transported to the county probation department.
