Carter Street Closed In Final Phase Of Bypass Construction

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Department of Public Works is advising residents of Tuolumne that Carter Street is now closed for approximately four weeks.
Crews are in the process of realigning the street to intersect the new Tuolumne Bypass.
The closure is located at Buchanon Road. Officials say all traffic that would normally use Carter Street in and out of the north end of Tuolumne is being diverted to the bypass.
The Department is asking motorists to be patient during the final construction phases.
