CHP Helps Tuolumne County Students Make “Right Turn”
Sonora, CA — California Highway Patrol Officers from the Sonora Area office will bring the CHP´s new Right Turn program to students at Tuolumne County Schools.
The program is aimed at helping to educate sixth to eighth grade students about the dangers of impaired driving and how to handle tough situations involving peer pressure and drunk driving.
The 30-minute presentation by uniformed CHP officers emphasizes the importance of making smart choices regarding drug and alcohol use combined with vehicles. Right Turn has been launched in five counties and organizers expect to reach 5,000 students.
