Supervisor Peterson’s Celebration Of Life Slated For Sunday
Sonora, CA — A celebration of life service is scheduled for this weekend for District Three Supervisor Jim Peterson.
Diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, Peterson continued to participate in Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors meetings via speakerphone. Peterson lost his battle with cancer last Tuesday. He was 62.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Smith Peterson of Tuolumne; a daughter, Marcia Peterson Ornelas of Fresno; mother, Anna Marie Peterson of Modesto; brothers, Perry C. Peterson of Pomona, Russell W. Peterson of Modesto and Robert E. Peterson of Sonora; and one grandchild. A celebration of life starts at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Tuolumne Veterans Memorial Hall in Tuolumne City.
