West Point, CA — The Foothill Conservancy is looking for volunteers to help clean up the banks and bed of the Mokelumne River.
The group is planning a clean-up day for November 5 beginning at 8:30 in the morning.
Organizers say the event will be postponed until the 12th in the event of rain. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Organized groups are also welcome.
Crews will assemble at the West Point Elementary School parking lot and at the Electra Road parking area off of Highway 49.
Volunteers should wear long sleeves and pants, gloves and sturdy boots. Volunteers are also responsible for bringing a bag lunch.
