Columbia Man Dead After Apparent Rollover Accident

Jamestown, CA — CHP says the body of a 59-year-old Columbia man was found in his vehicle after what appears to be a fatal car accident.
A report indicates that the man left a friend´s home on Italian Bar Road at about 10:30 Tuesday night.
Authorities say his co-workers became concerned when he failed to show up for work yesterday.
A search turned up the man´s car at the base of a 60-foot embankment upside down in the Stanislaus River off of Italian Bar Road. CHP says it appears that the man failed to negotiate a curve in the road.
His identity is being with held pending notification of family members.
