Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne/Calaveras unit of CDF has announced the lifting of burn permit suspensions on state lands within the counties.
Officials say permits are still required for burning and will be until the end of declared fire season.
Burning is still suspended in Angels City. Burn hours are restricted to 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m on permissive burn nights as declared by the Air Pollution Control District.
Officials urge residents to exercise caution and abide by fire safety restrictions as outlined by their permit.
CDF says fire danger is still high despite the recent cooler temperatures and rains.
