Standing Room Only At The Screening Of The Forest Service Documentary
Sonora, CA — The chance to watch the highlights of 100 years of Forest Service History drew a crowd to Signature Stadium 10 in Sonora last night.
A line formed as people gathered in front of the theater to get a chance to view the free screening of the documentary called “The Greatest Good.” The film will be shown again at the Centennial Celebrations in Sonora on Saturday, October 15.
Filmmaker Steve Dunsky says the documentary is not a glorification of the Forest Service; it is a four-year project highlighting 100 years of History.
Organizers say the award-winning documentary underscores the continuing land management challenge the agency faces, including clear-cutting.
