Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — Several popular recreation areas at area lakes are receiving much needed repairs and renovations.

Officials say the most significant improvements will be made to facilities at New Melones Reservoir where $800,000 will be spent on building new trails and fixing an old RV dump station.

Other renovation operations will include resurfacing roads and parking areas at Tuttletown and installation of new bathrooms throughout the park.

The operations are part of a $2.3 million project by the U.S Bureau of Reclamation.
