Fremont Man Dies In Tractor Accident In Twain Harte

Twain Harte, CA — A Fremont man is dead following an apparent accident on his property in Twain Harte.
Officials say it appears that 41-year-old Jerry Terpening was mowing weeds and brush at his land on Quaker Lane when the tractor he was driving overturned and crushed him.
Officials say Terpening was found by a friend who became concerned and went to the property to investigate.
Authorities say the friend called 911 when he located Terpening. CDF was dispatched to the scene where medics declared Terpening dead.
Authorities say an autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death.
