CDF Reports Several Small Lightning Fires
Sonora, CA — CDF reports several small, lightning-caused fires following Tuesday night´s storm.
Tuolumne County CDF spokesman Craig Hart says a little more than an acre of woodland was ignited on property owned by the East Bay Municipal Utilities District just before noon yesterday in Paloma near the Pardee reservoir.
Hart says less than an hour later crews responded to a grass fire of almost 4 acres in the same area. Five engines and a CDC crew from Vallecito responded.
Later, crews then put down a two acre blaze on Hogan Dam road in Valley Springs just before 4:00 in the afternoon.
Four CDF engines responded along with two air tankers and an air attack.
Also responding was a CDC crew from Vallecito and a water tender from Foothill Fire Protection District.
