Palomino, CA — The CDF will be conducting a training burn along Palomino Road southwest of New Hogan Reservoir and Valley Springs.
The burn is scheduled to start Thursday afternoon and end Friday afternoon. CDF says 120 acres of grass will be burned during the exercise.
The objective of the training is to teach CDF personnel advanced fire fighting techniques enabling them to better understand and control wildfires. CDF will be using 12 engines, 3 fire Crews, one dozer, and one helicopter to conduct the burn.
