Vegetation Management Plan Workshop Scheduled
Sonora, CA — The Stanislaus National Forest is announcing the continuation of a series of public workshops to examine various treatment scenarios for the Forest´s five-year vegetation management plan.
A meeting will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m., with the formal presentation and public discussion scheduled to run until 4 p.m. at the Best Western Sonora Oaks Hotel on Hess Avenue.
The final report of a Forest Service Washington Office review of the timber management program on the Stanislaus National Forest recommended the use of the Stewardship and Fireshed Assessment process to help the Forest determine where treatments should occur, what the treatment prescriptions will be, and when the work will be done on the Forest.
