French Gulch Fire Burns Four Acres

San Andreas, CA — CDF says the blaze off of French Gulch road near Murphys yesterday burned four acres of woodland.
Craig Hart with CDF says 10 engines responded to the fire just after 1:30 in the afternoon.
Three water tenders, two CDC hand crews and a bulldozer, along with a CDF air attack, one helicopter and an air tanker were also dispatched to the scene.
The cause was determined to be a portable welder. No injuries were reported.
