Sonora PD Enforcing You Drink & Drive You Lose Campaign
Sonora, CA — With more people expected to be traveling on Sonora roadways this Labor Day holiday, the Sonora Police Department will be out in force looking for drunk drivers.
Chief Mace McIntosh says the message is simple, if you drink and drive, you lose. He says with increased officer presence chances are if someone drives impaired this holiday, they will be arrested.
According to the FBI crime report impaired driving is one of America´s most-often-committed and deadliest crimes. Reports indicate more than 1.4 million people nationwide were arrested in 2003 for driving under the influence.
McIntosh reminds everyone to plan ahead, he says if people have trouble trying to figure out if they have had too much alcohol to drive, they should not risk it.
