Forest Invites Public To Help Designate OHV Routes
Sonora, CA — The Forest Service has announced that the public is invited to participate in scheduled public workshops and briefings that begin the Off Highway Vehicle Route (OHV) Designation Process on the Stanislaus National Forest.
The informative meetings are designed to assist Forest managers in completing an inventory of all the roads, trails, and areas used by off-highway vehicles, to identify a system of routes from that inventory, and to describe the next steps for completion of the route designation process.
The first public meeting will be held Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 9:00 at the Best Western in Sonora. Meetings are scheduled for Arnold on Wednesday and Greeley Hill next Wednesday September 7th. Those interested can receive additional information about the workshops by contacting The Forest Service.
