Fish Camp Man Dies In Rollover Accident
Sugar Pine, CA — A 65-year-old Fish Camp resident is dead after a single vehicle rollover accident on Highway 41 yesterday.
CHP says the man was driving southbound near Sugar Pine when for unknown reasons turned sharply to the left after coming out of a curve in the road.
Reports indicate that the 1998 Jeep Cherokee then crossed the centerline and left the roadway and rolled down the embankment.
Police say the jeep was struck on the roof by a large tree as it rolled. The vehicle then struck another tree as it came to rest.
Police say the man was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man´s identity is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
