Tuolumne, CA — Traffic around the Tuolumne area will soon run a little more smoothly as construction on the Tuolumne bypass continues.
The $2.2 million project is being spearheaded by Ford Construction of Lodi. Work on the bypass began last month, and is designed to channel heavy traffic away from town, and simplify access to Black Oak Casino.
Nick Jones of Ford Construction says the project is going according to schedule. He says there have been no major problems with the job and things are right on track.
Jones says the water and sewer lines are being put in place before the subgrade goes in. The project is being administered by Tuolumne County.
Jones says the final paving on the project should be complete by the end of September.
