Copperopolis Woman Sustains Minor Injuries, Other Driver Flees On Foot

Valley Springs, CA — CHP is investigating a car accident that resulted in minor injuries to a Copperopolis woman.
CHP says 26-year-old Andrea Qurashi was traveling eastbound shortly after 8:00 last night on Highway 26 when traffic stopped for a vehicle turning left onto Farris Drive.
Police say Qurashi was struck from behind by a ´97 Ford Taurus causing debris to fly into the oncoming lane.
CHP says the driver of the Taurus then fled on foot with a young child passenger. Qurashi was treated for her injuries at Mark Twain St. Josephs hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
