Sonora, CA — There is now a reward available for the safe return of a 64-year-old woman missing since last Monday.
Shelly Streeter with the Carole Sund / Carrington Memorial Reward Foundation announced today in a press conference that it will contribute reward money totaling $5,000.
The search for Nita Mayo is scheduled to continue on Saturday with more search and rescue teams from Tuolumne County as well as some from the surrounding area.
Officials with the Sheriff´s department are planning to search the area where Mayo´s car was found last Wednesday near the Donnell Vista overlook on Highway 108.
Mayo´s daughter Tracy Mayo says the family hired people to repel down the mountain earlier this week and she is confident that her mother is not in the area.
