Calaveras County Airport To Get Facelift
Sponsored by:
Angels Camp, CA — More than $500, 000 in federal grant money is being put toward resurfacing the parking lot and runways.
Airport spokespeople say it has been about 10 years since the ramp and parking lot were last repaired.
The airport is located on a hill north of Angels Camp on Highway 49. Airport staff says that with hot summers and constant traffic the airport is in need of some care, which they believe will encourage more people and businesses to use it.
The resurfacing project is expected to go out to bid in the next few weeks, and work should be completed within the year.
