Trial Date Pushed Back In Elder Abuse Case

Valley Springs, CA — There will be a later trial date for the Valley Springs couple accused of abusing an elderly woman in their home.
A Calaveras County Superior Court judge granted the trial to be moved from August 25th to December 8th. 54-year-old Alan Deyarmon and his wife 51-year-old Rosie Deyarmon were arrested in June after authorities found a 91-year-old woman near death at their home.
The Deyarmons are charged with elder abuse, financial abuse and two counts of child endangerment because two minor children were also living in the house. The two remain in the Calaveras County Jail each being held on $130,000 bail.
