CDF Responds To Burning Home On South Fork Road
Twain Harte, CA — CDF officials are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed most of a home on South Fork Road in Twain Harte yesterday.
CDF spokesman Craig Hart says the fire at about 1:30 in the afternoon occurred at the home of volunteer firefighter Jim Hebert who also responded to the blaze.
He says a good defensible space around the home prevented the fire from spreading to the surrounding wildland.
Hart says eight engines from CDF/Tuolumne County Fire Department and one CDF helicopter responded along with three water tenders and one engine from Twain Harte Community Services.
The house was about 80% damaged at an estimated cost of $250,000.
No one was in the house at the time and no injuries were reported.
