Woman Held On Suspicion Of ‘Bag Lady’ Bank Robberies
Jackson, CA — Police in Jackson have arrested a woman they suspect could be the serial bank robber dubbed the “Bag Lady Bandit”, a brazen robber who calmly places a bag on bank counters and instructs tellers to fill it with cash.
Cathy Lynn Longley, of San Jose, was arrested outside of Sacramento and was being held on a $950,000 bond at the Placer County Jail on suspicion of robbery.
Authorities say Longley was arrested Wednesday after employees at Jackson Rancheria Casino saw a photo of the suspect in the newspaper, recognized her as a regular and called police.
The most recent heists were in Roseville on July 16th and 18th.
