Police Search For Driver Of Rolled Vehicle

Sonora, CA — Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that rolled over on Highway 108 near Kennedy Meadows shortly after 8:00 this morning.
CHP spokesman Tom Wills says a white car rolled over onto it´s top and was partially blocking the roadway.
Witnesses say the unidentified driver crawled out of the vehicle and became combative and belligerent when bystanders attempted to assist.
A tow truck, fire crew and ambulance were dispatched to the scene, but authorities recalled the fire crew and ambulance after receiving reports that the driver fled the scene on foot.
Wills says alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident.
