Sonora, CA — Several Motherlode residents gathered today to mourn the passing of one the area´s most beloved community members.
Jack Eddy died of natural causes Thursday at the age of 86. Eddy was a 1936 graduate of Sonora High School and owned several businesses in the area.
He was also a prominent member of the Sonora Elks Lodge. Eddy was a staunch supporter of Columbia College and was one of the original members of the president´s advisory committee as well as past president of the college foundation.
Eddy is survived by his wife Mary, two daughters, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
