Structure Fire In Early Hours of July 4th

Calaveras County Fire Fighters from 4 Districts as well as CDF were kept busy in the early hours of July 4th.
A structure fire involving a 2,000 square foot house in Rail Road Flat was reported at 2:38 am. The home was owned by Mr Jim Horn of Sonoma, California. The fire, caused by an electrical fault, originated in the garage area of the home causing an estimated loss in excess of $ 400,000.
No civilian, pets or firefighter injuries were reported.
