Calaveras County Welcomes Two New Supervisors
Calaveras County´s newest supervisors say formulating a new General Plan is a top priority. Steve Wilensky and Bill Claudino were sworn in yesterday during a reception inside the Board of Supervisors chambers. Wilensky, a Glencoe area farmer, says careful planning is needed to ensure growth doesn´t detract from county resident´s quality of life. Claudino is a retired CHP officer and lives in San Andreas. He says he agrees with Wilensky that more foresight is needed in county planning. Supervisors have been working on a new General Plan for Calaveras County for several months. The Board is expected to finalize details of the new plan this year.
