The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors met yesterday (Monday) and spent much of the meeting filling vacancies on nearly two dozen boards and commissions. Supervisor Bill Claudino says supervisors considered up to 120 applicants for nearly 60 vacancies.
Claudino says supervisors also conducted a study session on a proposal to disband the Calaveras County Council of Governments. COG provides a venue for various county agencies to interact and communicate.
Board members are also continuing their work on formulating a General Plan for Calaveras County. That plan is expected to be implemented sometime this year.
