Tuolumne County Supervisors Approve More TGH Dental Staff
Dental patients at the Tuolumne General Hospital dental clinic will have some more options for appointments in the upcoming months.
After an unanimous vote yesterday by the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors, the clinic will be increasing staffing to include one Supervising Registered Dental Assistant, and five additional Registered Dental Assistants as well. Supervisor Dick Pland expressed a concern to Bill Morse from county Human Resources that the shuffling might mean less follow-through on so-called deadbeat patients.
“Will there still be an opportunity to beat on the no-shows with phone calls and so on?” Pland asked Morse Tuesday.
Morse replied, “Absolutely. That´s part of it. That´s not going to change.”
A medical receptionist currently on staff will be either promoted or transferred to the medical side of the TGH clinic.
