New Bridge Opens On LaGrange Road

Tuolumne County´s newest bridge has opened to the public.
Public Works Deputy Director Mark Houghton says the new bridge is located on LaGrange Road, nine miles from Highway 108 in the southwestern corner of the county. LaGrange is a thoroughrfare to Highway 99 near Merced and southward, popular with local commuters and truckers. Houghton says workers will be perfroming finishing touches on the bridge, such as paving the road approaching the span and erosion control throughout the month. Drivers are urged to watch for workers and equipment in close proximity to the bridge throughout the rest of the month.
