Sonora Street Closed For Sewer Repair

Tuolumne Utilities District maintenance manager Bob Slater says North Stewart Street in Sonora has been closed until mid-afternoon between Wall and Columbia for an emergency sewer line replacement.
Slater says the line collapsed earlier this month. The repairs do not require water to be shutoff to nearby residents. Workers hope to finish the job and have the remote street reopened by 2 p.m.
