A large component of the recent expansion at Black Oak Casino in Tuolumne is now open.
Casino spokeswoman Jennifer Borba says the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians have unveiled a family fun center, including a 24-lane state of the art bowling alley, video arcade, family restaurant and sports bar.
The new family entertainment floor is 53,000 sq ft big. The room is also available for booking for special occasions. The new sports bar offers casual dining and is littered with sports memorabilia. The tribe opened a vast, new gaming floor with nearly a thousand slot machines and 24 gaming tables earlier this month. Seed money for the expansion was made available after the Me-Wuk forged an agreement with the Yavapai-Apache Tribe in Arizona.
