Bike Trail Study Unanimously Approved
The Sonora City Council voted unanimously this week to adopt a resolution which would support a grant application for the Sonora-Columbia Bicycle Trail Feasibility and Alignment Study.
The grant application would provide funds to conduct a study that would determine the just how feasible such a bike trail might be and exactly where it might go. Citizens ranked this project as the top priority for pedestrian/bicycle transportation improvements, as noted in a memo by City Administrator Greg Applegate.
The paperwork was ready Monday, and with the unanimous approval of the city council, the grant application was sent out Tuesday.
