Sullivan Creek Bridge Repair
Tuolumne County Public Work employees wasted no time in replacing a guard rail destroyed in a single-vehicle accident on Phoenix Lake Road last Tuesday night.
The accident happened on the Sullivan Creek Bridge and remains under investigation. Carol Jackson is the Public Works Director´s assistant . She says the entire guard rail had to be replaced.
The motorist that was involved in the accident left the scene and had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital from her home later that evening. Jackson says it´s possible that the driver will be billed for the repairs, depending on the outcome of the CHP investigation. Drivers on Phoenix Lake Road are urged to use caution when approaching the bridge. Repairs are expected to be completed by tomorrow morning.
