Old Priest Road Reopens

Old Priest Grade Road has reopened.
The popular thoroughfare has been closed for several weeks. Approximately 90-feet of the narrow and very steep roadway gave out last month following heavy rains. A Tuolumne County Public Works spokesman says workers had to dig-out the damaged area before creating a new base and applying several layers of asphalt.
The road reopened this afternoon. Old Priest Grade Road is familiar to local residents and people travelling to Yosemite along Highway-120. It´s located off of Highway-120 between Moccasin and Groveland.
