SACRAMENTO (AP) __ Doris Matsui is scheduled to be sworn into the U-S House of Representatives tomorrow and fill the term of her late husband, Robert T. Matsui.
Matsui left California today for Washington D-C, where she will take the oath of office at midmorning. She will be joined by 52 other members of California´s congressional delegation. House officials say after the formal ceremony, Democratic Congressman Pete Stark of Fremont will introduce her and she will address her 434 colleagues.
Matsui easily won a special election yesterday to replace herhusband who died in January of complications from a rare bone marrow disease.
