Sacramento, CA — A $500,000 arrest warrant has been issued for a Yolo County woman who allegedly gave her four-year-old daughter up for adoption out of state without notifying the girl´s father.
The District Attorney´s office says 23-year-old Ilene Hill gave her daughter to an El Dorado Hills adoption broker and lied to the California Department of Social Services when she said the child had not had contact with her father for almost a year.
The girl´s father, Jesse Baldizan of Sacramento, says he has proof that he and his daughter had regular contact until February.
Hill is charged with abducting the child and maliciously depriving the child´s father of his right to custody or visitation.
Hill faces three years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.
