Former Stockton Priest Reveals Details Of Abuse

Sponsored by:

Stockton, CA — A former Stockton priest and convicted child molester revealed details about his attraction to children and his methods for grooming victims during a two-day deposition in March.

The Reverend Oliver O´Grady served seven years in a California prison for molesting two brothers while he was a parish priest.

He was later deported to Ireland, where he´s lived since 2001. Lawyer John Manley questioned O´Grady in late March and filed the more than 400-page deposition in Alameda County Superior Court yesterday.

The document was filed in opposition to a motion to dismiss a pending civil suit against the Stockton diocese.

Alleged victims say the diocese failed to protect them from a known abuser.

O´Grady went into extensive detail about his years of abusing children at various churches in Northern California, his history as a priest, and the abuse he himself suffered as a child.
