Valley Springs Voters Reject Tax Increase
Sponsored by:
Valley Springs, CA — Valley Springs residents have rejected a proposed property tax increase to fund a new community hall.
Although the measure was supported by nearly 47% of the voters, it failed to get the necessary two-thirds vote to pass.
The $20-a-year tax would have been in place for 10 years, and would have funded a new facility of about 11,000 square feet.
The current center is a 3000 square foot metal building built in 1964.
It´s the second time in three years voters have turned down a tax increase for the center.
